The continuing education courses offered by the Department of Otolaryngology of the Emory University School of Medicine are designed for practicing otolaryngologists and otolaryngologists-in-training. Each course adheres to the ethic that lifelong learning and on-going self-assessment are essential for physicians to demonstrate their rigorous commitment to achieving quality clinical outcomes for patients in a responsive, patient-focused setting. The graduate trainees and board certified physicians who enroll in these courses are dedicated to advancing the standard of specialty medical care nationwide.
The Laryngeal Dissection and Phonosurgery Workshop for Physicians involves didactic and hands-on instruction, and has been approved by the Emory SOM for a maximum of seven AMA Physicians Recognition Award Category 1 Credits.
After engaging in a series of dissection exercises and review of topics in otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery, participants in the five-day Temporal Bone Surgical Dissection Course will receive 45 Category 1 Credits.
Both courses are held at Emory University Hospital Midtown.
