Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship in Voice and Swallowing

The Emory Voice Center of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery of the Emory University School of Medicine provides the opportunity for one highly qualified graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology program to complete a 12-month fellowship dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients with voice and swallowing disorders.

The Emory Voice Center is staffed by specialists in laryngology, speech-language pathology, singing voice, and dysphagia. The candidate will participate in multidisciplinary voice clinics, swallowing clinics, and airway clinics; work in state-of-the-art voice and manoflouroscopy swallowing laboratories under the mentorship of professional staff; and be a member of a progressive laryngology department that offers involvement in a variety of academic and research endeavors.

The appropriate candidate must have acquired experience in the evaluation and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders during their enrollment in a master's level accredited speech-language pathology program. They must have graduated from this program prior to June 15th of the year they are applying for. The candidate must have a strong academic background as well as reputable recommendations of their clinical skill, initiative, and potential for successfully completing this fellowship. Experience working with the singing voice and prior clinical experience in dysphagia including modified barium swallows is advantageous.
